Built for Rebellion: Creating A Life That Works for Your ADHD Brain
This is more than a professional update; it's a story of personal transformation that has taken me years to fully understand. I recently received my certification as an ADHD life and business coach, and this journey was anything but linear. It’s a path forged by the realities of raising a neurodivergent child and the profound clarity that came with my own late-in-life diagnosis.
When My Family's Story Became My Mission
Just a few short years ago, my daughter, an ADHDer, began navigating the world of early childhood education. What we encountered was a system that often measures children by compliance and too readily labels difference as a problem. We faced unjust situations that, as a parent, ignited a fierce determination within me. I knew I had to change how I mothered, how I worked, and what I was willing to fight for.
It was during this challenging time that my husband and I also received our own ADHD diagnoses. Suddenly, our lifelong experiences—the emotional turbulence, the jarring difficulties with transitions, and that constant undercurrent of chronic overwhelm—clicked into place. There was a wave of grief for the years spent navigating without understanding, but it was quickly followed by an immense sense of relief. We finally had a language for our experience.
A Call for Dignity and Access
This new lens didn’t just change how we saw our family; it fundamentally shifted my understanding of what I wanted to do professionally. I delved into study and training, eager to learn more about neurodiversity and how I could support others. I came to understand the powerful concept of “neurodivergent,” originally coined by activist Kassiane Asasumasu. It’s a term that speaks to the reality that some people’s brains diverge from dominant societal norms. It’s about recognizing the inherent value in different ways of thinking and being, and about creating a world where everyone feels a sense of dignity, access, and belonging—not just a medical diagnosis to check off a list.
Systems Built for Your Ingenuity
This understanding is at the heart of my coaching practice. I didn’t get certified to teach people productivity hacks designed to help them simply pass as “acceptable.” My purpose is to empower individuals to build personalized systems that truly fit their unique brains and lives. My coaching style is practical and strengths-based, grounded in neuroscience-informed research on behavior change, motivation, and emotional regulation. This is not about fixing you; it’s about giving you the tools to reclaim your voice, reshape your habits, and step fully into your own success.
Ready to Rebel?
I am here to walk alongside the brilliant people who are tired of trying to build with tools that weren't made for their brains. This is for the high-performers navigating burnout, the creatives who struggle with follow-through, the parents overwhelmed by the mental load, and the leaders who want to create a world where all brains can thrive.
This September, I’m opening my calendar with four new coaching spots at an intro rate of $300/month (one-month minimum).
If my story resonates with you, if you’re tired of trying to fit into a world that feels like it wasn’t designed for you, I invite you to reach out. You don't have to keep fighting. The real work is building a life that fits you so that you can own your authority and your truth. Because true power isn't about fitting in; it’s about creating a world where every brain is met with dignity and respect. Send me a message, and let’s get started.
